NOODLES
What is better than hot noodles on a cold weather? Have you ever tried slurping the noodles while its hot? It's pretty painful in the tongue right? But who cares? What matters is how it's very delicious!
I'm sure we've all tried slurping and drinking its soup while it's hot. Here I share to you my experience in eating such simple food.
Noodles...yummmm... I always tend to buy instant noodles from stores and I can say, i'm not tired of eating it!! I love how we can instantly cook it in 5 minutes or under 5 minutes. But when you cook, make sure to eat while it's hot! It would not taste pleasingly when it's soggy and cold. I would give it a 10/10 for the effiency and delicious taste!
BRAISED PORK/ ADOBO
Hmm... The aroma of this dish... it's so heavenly!! I wonder what is this?? Wait...is this braised pork?! Yes it is.
I would love to recommend this dish to all people, especially filipinos. It is also known in the Philippines as Humba.
I would describe the taste of this dish to be very delicious. It has a mild sweetness from the addition of the brown sugar in the recipe! It is also cooked with soy sauce and vinegar like adobo! But if i were being honest, i would honestly prefer this!
Oh to taste this with rice! It just feels and taste so good like as if you're in paradise!
BALUT
Balut just from the name do you think it's delicious?? Well you'll find out after reading this.
When I first tasted Balut for me it didn't taste as good as i expected. The taste of it was not pleasing to me. It had a very weird texture when I ate it. It felt like a rotten boiled egg inside my mouth. I also did not like the aroma of it because it was very similar to a rotten egg. I didn't like the baby chick inside it.
Although the eating part was not pleasant, i only liked the drinking part. The soup of it was like chicken soup. It was very vinegary and I liked it.
If you are like me who don't like the taste and smell of boiled egg, i would not recommend eating the inside. I would only recommend the soup for people like me.
We all have different taste buds, this is my opinion only and others have theirs too!!
SIOMAI
Another delicious snack to keep us full! Introduce you siomai!!
I love siomai, especially when it’s dipped in soy sauce with calamansi, is simply irresistible. What makes the siomai incredibly delicious is its lack of extenders. All of its siomai are bursting with meatiness and flavor. the siomai’s texture is smooth, firm and desirable flavor.
So what are you waiting for? Why don't you try this amazing snack now!!
KALAMAY/ SUGAR
Kalamay is a sticky sweet delicacy that is popular in many regions of the Philippines. It is made of coconut milk, brown sugar, and ground glutinous rice.
When I first tasted kalamay I was already amazed by its taste. It has been my favourite food for a long time. Kalamay can be a spread but it's much more savoury by itself.
Its taste can resemble toffee, although the consistency is much more tender, and does not stick to the teeth. In fresh form, it can be similar to thick boiled condensed milk, but not so sweet, and with the aroma of coconut.
